A Stunning Collaboration with Canon in Munich: Meet Aleisha
Imagine walking into a conference room and being greeted by a mesmerizing 15-meter mural that effortlessly blends art and technology. This was the challenge my partner in Europe, Peter Scheer and I faced when Canon Production Printing (CPP), a leader in print technology, tasked us with creating a visually captivating mural for their Munich office.
The Vision: Strength found in tranquility—a serene salt lake landscape, a woman, and a surreal veil of rainbow colors dancing in the wind.

The Challenge: Achieving this with an original AI generated motif of only 1200 pixels. Given the mural’s size and the fact that visitors would be viewing it up close, clarity and sharpness were non-negotiable. Using Generative AI again, we began upscaling the image to reach at least 5MB, but it still fell short for a mural of this magnitude. Another hurdle was the loss of detail in the woman's face and hands, which required us to meticulously rebuild and seamlessly integrate these elements.
With the expertise of data specialists, namely Topazlabs.com, we were able to upscale the motif to the desired level. A few strategic Photoshop touch-ups later, and we achieved a result that was both stunning and precise.
